Dining here is more than “dinner” it’s like having your own personal chef with locally sourced homemade ingredients! Quaintly decorated, with excellent service. Course timing was perfect! Total bill including tip was about 270 for the two of us. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, plus the meal.
Saw this place while headed somewhere else and what a treat! We got lucky and got the only table not reserved. Christina was delightful and the experience was closer to a genuine Italian meal than any I’ve had outside of Italy. The food was exceptional and her knowledge of what was being served made you feel like she had a relationship with each dish. (And I think she does). Menu is small but changes often. Definitely worth the drive across the bridge. We will be back.
When in Cape Charles, this is the place you need to put on your list. My wife and I love this place! The food is incredibly good! The service felt so personal, we felt like long lost family members being welcomed home. I had the House made Fettuccine with smoked chicken and exotic mushrooms, outta this world. This Italian food is as authentic as it gets. Freshly made from scratch on premise, even down to the last strand of pasta.

Ambrogia is our go-to restaurant in Cape Charles. The food is wonderful, the ambiance is lovely. We have been there many times and always have a sensational experience. Their seafood and scallops are to die for, and it's a restaurant where I look forward to EVERYTHING. The appetizers, the main course(s), dessert, coffee... you even get your choice of what type of water you want! When we go to Ambrogia we make sure to have our appetites because we know we are going to be ordering a bit of everything! There are suggested wine pairings that are always perfect, there is an Italian beer my husband and I love... I could just keep going. Thank you for making Cape Charles even more amazing.
Small 7 table restaurant with the best southern Italian food I’ve ever had. Absolutely a five star experience. Food was fresh and delicious. It’s a weekly rotating menu with local ingredients and set up traditional Italian course style. Portions of the main course were elegantly presented and the perfect size. We had the scallops and flounder mains.(Excuse the forkful missing from the flounder). Christine, the owner, maintains a superb wine list! We didn’t try dessert but will definitely be back to Cape Charles just for Ambrogia!
The perfect dining experience in Cape Charles! We recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary by dining here. It was reminiscent of our honeymoon in Italy. So authentic and delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and so tasty. With limited selections, they really focus on making the food perfect. We got the meat, cheese and veggie board to start. The marinated tomatoes were a favorite along with the homemade pesto! For the entrees we both got the fettuccini ragu, served like in Italy by being slightly Al dente. Then for dessert we ordered the caramel tiramisu. Incredible. We’ll be thinking about this meal for a long time! Thank you for making us feel so special on our anniversary with limoncello too!

This gem is owned and expertly operated by a lovely, vivacious woman from Milan and the weekly menus feature hand crafted pastas and delicious seafoods, featuring fresh produce from the region. Each dish is true to Italy and the experience offers appetizers, first and second courses, to die for desserts and delicious coffees. Each dish comes with a libation recommendation and honestly, the only problem is deciding what to have. We are incredibly fortunate to be able to dine here with some frequency and have never left hungry or unsatisfied in any way. Prepare for being welcomed like a member of the family! Tables book quickly, so do make plans in time to get one.
